Low Ming Yuan is a doctoral student at Drexel University’s PhD in Creative Arts Therapies program. Prior to this, Low has worked at the world renowned Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy at New York University as a clinician, research assistant, and technology assistant. As a doctoral student at Drexel University, he is continuing the research he started at Nordoff-Robbins, creating standardized observable behavior measures and gathering data for quantitative research to prove the efficacy of the Nordoff-Robbins approach. As a research fellow, Low is involved as a coordinator and clinician in a randomized control trial on the use of music therapy with chronic lower back pain. Low is also involved in researches and community projects to promote neurodivesity. Low has presented extensively worldwide on bridging the arts and science of music therapy, as well as his other researches.
