Why join MMTA?

  1. MMTA is a professional association dedicated to:

    • Professional music therapists
    • Developing music therapy in Malaysia
    • Safeguarding standards of practice and code of ethics in the practice of music therapy in Malaysia
  2. As practising music therapists/clinicians, we understand the importance of the professional community. MMTA aims to be a platform that facilitates this - from sharing resources, training and work opportunities, to initiating discussions, dialogues and implementation of related issues and developments in the field.
  3. Also important are our stakeholders i.e. our clients, their families, caregivers and/or other professionals in their care team. MMTA intends to keep our eyes, ears and mind open to foster and maintain communication and good will amongst all our stakeholders.

  4. If you would like to make a difference - whether to participate in, advocate for, contribute to and/or be included in the advancement of music therapy in Malaysia.


Membership Benefits

Membership is currently eligible for music therapists board certified/licensed in their country of training. Other tiers of membership will be available as we move towards our coming goals.
