The committee members of the Malaysian Music Therapy Association (MMTA) consists of clinicians with diverse background and working experiences.
Doris is a Board-Certified Music Therapist, having achieved her professional practice license in 2016. With a specialization in Neurologic Music Therapy, Doris applies evidence-based-interventions tailored to the specific needs of clients facing with neurodevelopmental challenges. Her expertise extends to conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, autism, traumatic brain injury, among others.
Doris currently serves as a visiting clinician at Jesselton Medical Center (JMC), where she provides clinical therapeutic treatment tailored to address psychological symptoms and emotional distress affecting individuals’ overall functioning. Her practice encompasses a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, spanning a spectrum of conditions such as special needs, disabilities, autism, ADHD, mental health and mental illness, self-harm, suicide, personality disorders, stroke, Parkinson’s and dementia. Doris is proficient in English, Malay, Mandarin, and various Chinese dialects.She looks forward to serving the needs of the general public in the provision of clinical therapeutic treatment for managing psychological symptoms and emotional distress impacting a person’s functioning, that stems from a disability, illness, condition, or stress.
